My Manicure

Fall is here and you know what that means!!!???  Time to break out my Chanel Vamp and deep red hues for my weekly guilty "lunchtime" pleasure, my manicure.  As a working mom, I take my downtime very seriously.  Each week I walk to the same little nail salon in Westwood for a mani and trashy mag reading time.  It really is the best $10 I could spend, for a little me time.

Summer is here, time to break out my favorite nail polish!  I'm off to get a pedi...and off to the desert mind you!  I love 3 day weekends!

Peonies

My new favorite thing to do on Saturday mornings is to walk little Barron in the stroller up to San Vicente Blvd. in Brentwood.  First, we grab a grande coffee at the 'Bux and then we stop in for fresh flowers at Whole Foods.  For the last 2 weeks in a row, they've had pink peonies, my favorite flower.   

 Last weekend, I decided to splurge, and went for the $25 peonies!  There's a reason these babies are more money, they are absolutely wonderful!  I am beyond amazed at how gorgeous they are and each day the pink changes colors. 

They are now becoming more of a lighter coral pink.  It's so inspiring to find colors in nature that are so uplifting.  I am loving the energy they have brought into our home this week!

My Manicure

I'm off for some quiet + relaxing + me time at the nail salon today.  After months of deep reds and wearing my trademark Chanel Vamp all winter I'm loving this shade of nude.  I feel spring is in the air and  this color makes me want to go out and get a spray tan!

Aquamarine + Pink

There's nothing more calming or pleasing to the eye than (my favorite colors) aquamarine and pink. I feel inspired to re-style my vanity with these colors, which isn't a hard task to do considering I own so many pieces of aquamarine jewelry. On my vanity re-style checklist: fresh pink peonies, lots of perfume bottles, a graphic print scarf, colorful bangles stashed in a pretty antique dish, a candle, and of course beautiful thank you notes easily accessible for writing a quick little love note.

In case you haven't seen Tom Ford's new eye wear campaign featuring Carolyn Murphy and Nicholas Hoult (from his latest movie A Single Man), take a look at the irresistible Cougar Couple!!!

Carolyn's tan lines, shoulder length do, and blonde streaks in the front remind me of Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate and Nicholas as a young Benjamin.

I'm seriously considering chopping my hair and donning a few blonde highlights for summer just like these! It's so sleek, sexy, and fun - and easy maintenance!

It's that time of year again when perfume gift sets are in abundance at my favorite department stores. Take a peek at the prettiest bottles yet! Better yet, next time your at the counter, give yourself a spritz or two and have fun! There's nothing more transforming than a seductive scent to bring out your better self!

Chanel No. 5, need I say more??!!

Try any of Tom Ford's many scents laced with musk, tobacco, and vanilla.

Jo Malone is always a classic! I just love her rose and citrus fragrances.

I have Versace Crystal Noir in my own personal collection, the bottle looks beautiful on my dressing table, but the scent is to die for! I always get compliments on this one.

Wedding Hair

I am stressed out right now trying to find the right hairstyle for my wedding. I am drawn to styles that aren't overly done.  I want to look polished, sophisticated, and elegant. Not like my hair has been in rollers, pulled, combed, and prodded with for hours.

There's nothing more unattractive to me than a bride that looks like she is going to prom with a crazy up-do and ringlets. Here are a few of my favorites.

I don't leave home without it.

The best gift I received for Christmas was a huge bottle of Chanel's Gardenia that is now discontinued!!! It looks so pretty in the center of a big tray on my vanity!
