Cartas de Amor

When Jen Ramos from Made By Girl asked me to contribute to her online magazine for Valentine's Day called Cartas de Amor I couldn't say no!!!  I've been following Jen's blog for so long (I think since 2008) that this was an easy task for me.  My husband Josh has been writing me love letters and little notes since the day we met.  I've saved every one of them that I keep in a bright pink Kate Spade shoebox so I can easily go back and read them.  Be sure and check out Cartas de Amor here and I hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Snapshots From the Weekend

My first Mother's Day was really sweet spending time alone with the Little B!  I took Barron and Sophie for an early morning stroll to Starbucks in Brentwood. 

We picked up some pink peonies at Whole Foods (my favorite flower).

 We spent the evening having dinner with my family in Manhattan Beach.  

 I was playing around with the Hipstamatic app on my iphone and absolutely love how the pictures look with the sun setting in the background!   

Taking pictures is so much more fun now with this app!

...and the peonies made it to my desk.

It was a good day.

Happy 2nd Anniversary

I can't believe it's been 2 years since my wedding day...here's to 50 more years of health, happiness, and love!

Love Candy

I've had the idea of hanging a piece of art in my nursery for years now that simply said the word "love." I was first inspired by a piece I saw by Jonathan Adler (except it was all in rainbows) and I LOVED it! Since I plan on mixing antiques with modern elements these Love Candy prints I found by the super talented Jen over at Made By Girl are just perfect! And to top it off, she just added Blu Raspberry, which is the perfect shade for my aquamarine inspired boy's nursery!!!

...although I really am loving the Bubble Gum pink too, maybe it would be a sweet compliment to all the aqua???

Madly in love with the Blue Steel, neutrals never go out of style for me.
