I want this...

One of my Fall wish list items is a Burberry shawl. I think it would make the perfect cozy cover up since it never gets cold enough in LA for a huge coat. It's the perfect accessory to layer over skinny jeans, a long sleeve tee, and boots and can go from day to night, casual or dressy.

Which color one would you choose? The classic plaid or gray and black?

If your like me and a habitual viewer and avid fan of the Real Housewives, Mary Amons from the DC Housewives gets it just right! I think Mary has great style and pulls off the look flawlessly.

Dreamy Drew

Drew is one of those rare creatures who always seems to amaze me with her beautiful transformations. Check out her latest spread in Bazaar...
I am absolutely in love with the creamy nudes, tans, and coral pinks. This palette would make a calming and sophisticated bedroom, especially the peachy tan velvet tufted headboard.
This shot reminds me why Drew is old Hollywood. I love the 60s inspired makeup, very Sharon Tate.
I would love to lounge in this coppery caftan number poolside. The desert colored hues, the jewels, the hair, the nails, just perfect!

She's like a fine wine, she just gets better and better with age.

Business Card

To complement the new look and design of my website, I am in the process of having business cards designed. I would like to incorporate one of these designs on the backside of the card. I am going to use white card stock with 2 colors for fonts: charcoal gray and coral pink.
Which design do you like better? Imperial Trellis...one of my all-time favorite designs that I use frequently either with fabrics or wallcoverings. I just love this pattern!

Or a greek key trim a la Jonathan Adler?? I think this is modern and classic at the same time and a good calling card.

Hawken's Nursery

I came across this adorable nursery while searching for inspiration online and thought I would share it with all of you! Not only do I love the clean and modern white palette, but the mix of different furniture pieces and the gray stripes on the walls have me swooning!
The designer of this little newborn baby boy's nursery is his mommy, Lindsay Anyon Brier, of Anyon Interior Design in San Francisco, CA.

The Baby Diaries: Stroller Lust Part 2

After testing out a couple of great strollers I've decided to go with the UPPAbaby 2010 Vista Stroller in the color black, or Jake as it's called. This stroller has it all, but what sold me is it weighs less, has an easy one-step fold with or without the seat attached, and comes with an adjustable seat and bassinet and still is priced lower than similar models on the market. Plus, it can grow to accommodate 2 kids when that time comes.

...and for quick trips around town, travel, airplane flights, and to use as a second stroller as the baby gets older, I heart the Baby Jogger City Mini. This one literally can be folded up with one hand and thrown in the trunk, is super lightweight, and any stroller with this little fuss is a must for me!

The Baby Diaries: Cribs

After shopping the internet at Big Box stores (all to be a little disappointed not able to see or touch any cribs in person), I've decided on these 2 styles that I found at my new favorite baby store deep in the valley of Reseda, CA called Baby Town. Both are the same price and of the same quality, my problem is, I can't decide between the 2 styles. So, I need your opinions dear bloggers!!!

Which one would you choose???

The Munire Bristol Collection, which definitely makes a grand statement. At first, I wanted nothing to do with a 3 sided crib, but when I saw this I was in love. It's definitely large in scale, but the detailing of the spiraling legs had me swooning and I love the curved detailing that will be pushed up against the wall. Minus the pink bedding in this picture, I have received a few opinions that keep saying it looks girly, but I think this can definitely be baby boy with my aquamarine palette.

Or The Young America, which is just that, made in America and owned by the Stanley Furniture Company. I am especially fond that it's Greenguard certified (meaning no stinky strange smell will be emitted into the air once we take it out of the box and assemble it). My original plan was to use a more modern crib and I think this one is a nice compromise. I love the balance of this crib with 2 higher ends that are flat and the open slats on each side. This one definitely seems more practical and can go boy or girl.

Ibiza Dreaming...

It's hard to believe 3 years ago around this time I was traveling with my best single gal pal through London and Barcelona en route to soak up the summer sun and dance the nights away in Ibiza...

...Now we are both married and I have a baby on the way. It's funny to look back at the chapter's of ones life and to see how far we've come and changed. I've lived 6 of my 9 lives, so the other 3 I am holding on to with dear life. Here's to the end of summer and the halcyon days of yore!

Tufted Beds Revisted

The debate is still out as to which style tufted bed I will ultimately purchase. I really love the masculine look of black leather and I especially love the texture leather brings to a room. Mixed with white, gray, and different colored woods, I think it's super sleek and stylish, yet has that worn in look that I love.

My other absolute favorite is white. It's clean, it's cozy, it's feminine, and practically ANY color combo or design would work with it. I love how it can transition from modern to traditional and it's super plush which is how I want my bed to be.
A bold color like turquoise sure makes a statement especially with mirrored accent furniture, I love the color going on here!

What's your favorite style tufted bed???
