Road Trippin'

And we're off, the car and kids are packed, the ipod is loaded with new tunes and the glove box is packed with lots of old CDs, we're hitting the road, heading up the California coast.  We've got the itch badly to travel again...here's to 3 day weekends!      

Working for the Weekend

We made it to friday! The weekend always feels so much more well deserved when you've worked hard all week!  I'll be spending this weekend relaxing, hitting the open road for a little cruise with my baby and the hubs. Life is pretty damn good right now....

Mercedes 560 SL Roadster...yes please

It screams L.A. in all its decadent 80s glory! It was my "dream" car during all those silly childhood games of MASH. That was it. Period. For me, it was the ultimate Lady Car, the kind of lady that wore red lipstick, had perfectly manicured nails, didn't think twice about wearing a wrap dress with stilettos, blasted Steely Dan or Don Henley on her tapedeck, lived in a highrise off Sunset, drank gin gimlets, and had a path of Giorgio perfume following her everywhere she went.

I still promise to one day trade in the E350 for the sexy little (almost vintage) Roadster a la American Gigolo style. 

 I'm a child of the 80s, what can I say!!

The Baby Diaries: Hot Mommy Car

In case you didn't know I'm 4 months pregnant!!! Hence why my blog posts for the last few months have been a bit scarce...I simply haven't had the energy or inspiration. I'm finally coming out of my haze and I'm officially in "nesting" mode. I've had a thing for station wagons my whole life. I grew up being chauffered around town in a big ole 80s family station wagon and I simply think they are still so chic. My wagon of choice (or estate wagon as they are sometimes referred to) is the E350 Mercedes Benz (or E550 supercharged if you wanna get real ballsy) black on black. They scream hot mommy or if you live in WeHo (gay man who is really into design)! Either way, I love the wagon, and it's on my list of things to buy along with a stroller, car seat, and all the other sh** that comes along with having a baby.
